In 2010, the Evangeline Area Council made a 100 year commitment to the Atchafalaya Swamp to engage Scouts, their families, and the Acadiana community in an effort to preserve, protect, and promote the area.
In order to serve the thousands of youth that will annually participate in Swamp Base, a state-of-the-art facility is being developed to conduct, support, and ensure that all can experience the Atchafalaya.
